NEI Global Relocation Core Value

“NEI is socially and environmentally responsible, dedicated to corporate citizenship and championing sustainability efforts within our organization.”

NEI Global Relocation and Move for Hunger have partnered to help sustain local food banks across the country.

When a transferring family relocates using one of our participating household goods service partners, the family can pack up unopened, non-perishable food items which would normally be discarded. The movers will deliver the boxed food items to a local food pantry.

This reduces waste in our landfills, eliminates weight from the moving truck, and therefore decreases the environmental impact by conserving fuel. It also supports community food banks nationwide with the extra resources necessary to serve those in need.

Sustainability Independent Analysis

As a socially responsible corporate citizen, NEI Global Relocation strives to be sustainable at every stage of the relocation management process, maintaining sound business processes and engaging in activities to promote sustainability among our employees and service partners.

Our efforts to continuously improve NEI best practices include outside assessments from organizations like EcoVadis and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

Discard and Donate

In addition to reducing NEI’s carbon footprint on the world, we work with service partners who offer innovative programs, such as Discard and Donate, where employees and clients both win by reducing household goods shipping volume prior to moving, donating items to charity and saving valuable resources with this cost neutral option.

Over the course of an average year, NEI’s participation in this program:

  • Saves/Plants Trees (nearly 2,000)
  • Reduces Fuel Consumption by over 21,000 gallons
  • Reduces nearly 55,000 pounds of cardboard/paper waste
