NEI Global Relocation (NEI) was just shortlisted for the 2018 Relocate Awards category of Best Mobility Research Contribution, having practical implications that impact and contribute to the advancement of knowledge/theory.
In the war for talent, companies are investing in competitive options to entice critical talent to their organizations. One such category of increasing interest is establishing a rotational assignment (RA) program, especially for multi-national companies.
As NEI’s Global Mobility Strategies team researched existing trend data to support the needs of our clients interested in such a program, we discovered a lack of available information. NEI deployed an in-depth survey in January 2018, compiled the results, and completed the analysis in March. This allowed sufficient time to share the results with survey participants and hundreds of companies that attended the Worldwide ERC® Learning Zone Webinar on March 20, 2018. The timing allowed participants to review the findings prior to spring graduations, when companies are aggressively courting key college talent in search of the right career opportunity.
175 companies responded to the survey, which represented countries on every continent in 19 unique industries.
The goal of the project was to clearly identify the WHO, WHY, and WHAT of Rotational Assignments, so companies could benchmark their current program, or learn what should be considered when developing a new program. NEI analysed the data by industry and company size, allowing organizations to compare the results against their individual programs.
In addition, NEI separated the survey results of this 24-page report by International and US Domestic, as we found that prior rotational surveys combined the data.
This year’s Gala to announce the winners will be held May 10 in the Underglobe at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on London’s South Bank.
At last year’s event, NEI was recognized as the 2017 Best Relocation Management Company of the Year.
