The Women’s Fund of Omaha held its 25th Anniversary Celebration and awarded over $200,000 in Community Impact Grants to organizations that serve women.
Kate Dodge and Dana Washington, this year’s Honorary Chairs, were interviewed about their support of the organization and why the Women’s Fund of Omaha is so important to our community. Following the presentations, they were recognized for another successful event.
”The Women’s Fund for the last 25 years has championed individuals and organizations that focus on women’s issues, including those that affect paths to success for girls and women in the workplace,” explained Kate Dodge, President of NEI Global Relocation and Honorary Chair of this year’s event. “The organization has done ground breaking research and then turned the results into practical actions. We at NEI are pleased to support its initiatives.”
The theme of this year’s event was Lead the Change and featured keynote speaker, Barbara Corcoran, star of ABC’s Shark Tank where she gave her very best advice for starting, growing and expanding businesses, investing in businesses and converting ideas and “dreams” into fortunes.
Prior to addressing the audience, Corcoran made a personal donation of $2,500 to the Women’s Fund of Omaha to support their efforts.
